Submission Guidelines

Writings can be in the form of essays, short stories, poetry, journal entries, etc. Anything that speaks to the heart about a personal struggle with CFIDS--either from the point of view of a PWC (person with CFIDS) or a PWH (person with health).

Submissions of written work should be Emailed to cfids@wwcoco.com, preferably in the body of an Email message. If this is not possible, and the submission must be sent as an attached file, please save as a Text file before sending. (Microsoft Word for Windows is notorious for introducing "garbage characters" that are difficult for Mac people to deal with). If this is difficult for you for some reason, let me know via Email and we'll work something out. :)

Electronic submissions of artwork should be scanned at 72 dpi, in tiff, pict, or bmp form for the best quality. I'll convert them for Web use. If it's difficult for you to obtain scanning services, it may be possible for me to scan them for you. Email me and we'll talk about it.

We plan to include only the highest quality work in Voices of CFIDS. You will be notified regarding the status of your work and whether or not it's appropriate for us, as soon as is practical after your submission is received.

Compensation for authors and artists: We hope at some point to have some advertising revenue and be able to pay our authors and artists for the use of their work. We can't promise anything, but this may be possible in the future. At present you will receive our undying gratitute and the knowledge that you're participating in A Good Thing. :)

We look forward to hearing from all you writers and artists out there soon!
